Ai Weiwei is one of the bravest artists of our generation, and he uses politics and social commentary throughout his work. He is no stranger to speaking against repression and social injustice. His series A Study of Perspective is a perfect example of his disobedience against governments, commercialism, and places of aggression. These are themes that go throughout all his work, as he offers a reinterpretation of historical artefacts from his Coca-Cola vase series, which plays on ancient Chinese craftsmanship and modern consumerism, to his Water Lillies #1, which recreates Monet’s Water Lillies in Lego to pixelate and digitise the artwork. Ai Weiwei’s use of iconic imagery and playful way of creating deep conversations around notions of the relationship between the individual and state power, cultural identity, censorship, and human rights are just some of the reasons his work will appeal to collectors and investors. You can purchase authenticated examples of the works through established galleries and auctions. When you purchase an Ai Weiwei artwork, you are not only purchasing an artwork, but a set of ideas that extend beyond the work.

Jochen Mühlenbrink’s trompe-l’œil paintings delve into the interplay between illusion and reality, capturing themes of perception, memory, and the transient nature of everyday objects. Renowned for his meticulously crafted images of torn and layered posters, all rendered in oil paint, Mühlenbrink blurs the line between what is real and what only appears to be. Trained at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under the guidance of Markus Lüpertz, Mühlenbrink extends his artistic reach beyond painting into sculpture and installation. His works have been exhibited extensively across Germany and internationally in cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, New York, Seoul, and Taipei.

Kabangu is a self-taught visual artist celebrated for his vibrant, dynamic style that blends contemporary art with his African heritage. His work features a mix of figurative elements and abstract shapes, reminiscent of abstract expressionism and the spontaneity of Jackson Pollock. Using tools like fingers and spatulas, he creates striking compositions with flowing black paint against bold backgrounds. Influenced by hip-hop, urban life, and his own experiences, Kabangu’s art reflects the millennial generation, encouraging viewers to reconnect with their inner joy and creativity. He explores themes of light and dark, beauty and imperfection, inviting positive emotions and imaginative reflection. His paintings also draw connections to the graffiti art movement of the 1980s, particularly the legacy of artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, enriching their cultural significance.

Peter Doig creates serene yet dreamlike paintings where kaleidoscopic landscapes unfold around enigmatic, partially obscured figures. His work often draws from memories of his childhood in Canada, filtering these recollections through a soft, blurred visual language that echoes the instability of memory itself. From quiet lakes to dense forests, his settings feel suspended between reality and imagination, with motifs such as canoes becoming recurring symbols of solitude, transition, and reflection. Doig’s work has been celebrated in solo exhibitions at Tate Britain, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, and the Dallas Museum of Art. On the secondary market his paintings have sold for more than $10 million, and they are held in major institutions including the British Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Andrew Scott is a contemporary artist known for his frame manipulation and trademark shattered glass techniques. He expands the tension between art and environment by applying elements of the environment that lead the viewer into the scene. His artistry moves beyond the boundaries of the frame, creating a journey into wild ideation and conceptual art. Each work developed by Scott consumes the viewer in multiple layers of significance, but still holds cultural capital to collectors and investors interested in contemporary art.

Born in Butte, Montana, Ben Crase lives and works in San Diego, California. Crase's figurative works depict characters and scenes reminiscent of the American west in the 19th century imbued with a sense of optimism and humour. Western trope settings are reimagined and brought into the present with playful interiors and characters in signature pink hats symbolising camaraderie, compassion and kinship. Working primarily with oil and oil stick, Crase masters the language of colour by layering materials to create rich expressive hues. Texture and skewed compositional elements evoke an emotional response from the viewer – one that may feel vaguely familiar while firmly rooted in the past.
